To Losing My Religion των R.E.M., συμπεριλήφθηκε στον δίσκο Out of Time, το 1991, ενώ κυκλοφόρησε και ως single, που ήταν και το πρώτο του δίσκου.
Βασισμένο σε ένα riff παιγμένο από μαντολίνο, έγινε μεγάλη επιτυχία για τους R.E.M. και σίγουρα μία από τις μεγαλύτερες τους, καθώς είχε διαρκή παρουσία στο ραδιόφωνο, αλλά και στο MTV, το video clip του.
Με αυτό το τραγούδι το σχήμα έγινε παγκοσμίως γνωστό, ενώ είναι και η μεγαλύτερη τους επιτυχία όσον αφορά τα αμερικανικά chart, φτάνοντας την 4η θέση στα Billboard Hot 100, παραμένοντας εκεί για 21 εβδομάδες.
Τέλος, υπήρξε υποψήφιο για αρκετά βραβεία Grammy, τελικά όμως κέρδισε δύο.
